The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies until you ask it to. If you write to me, your message reaches my inbox and nowhere else.

Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data of every request, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We don’t use this data to identify you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our interest in a fast and secure website. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and we have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare.
Cookies, analytics and fonts
There are none. No cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics tools. Fonts and images are served from this site’s own server, so your browser doesn’t contact Google or anyone else to load them.
Contact form and the Human Test
If you send the contact form or leave your details in the Human Test, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, message, website and answers. We use it only to reply to you. The message is sent by email through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), under a data processing agreement with EU standard contractual clauses, and may be stored in our own customer management tool. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about working together, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete your enquiry when it is no longer needed, unless tax or commercial law requires us to keep it.
You can also email me directly. Then your email provider and ours process the message as usual.
Talk videos and slides
Talk pages show a preview image first. Only when you click play does your browser load the player from VideoPress (Automattic Inc., USA) or Speaker Deck (Speaker Deck, LLC, USA). From that moment, those providers receive your IP address and may set their own cookies. Legal basis: your consent by clicking, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Links to other sites
Booking a call opens Calendly, and social links open LinkedIn, Instagram and others. Once you are there, their privacy policies apply.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted or restricted. You can object to processing and ask for your data in a portable format (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to the email address above. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HBDI) in Wiesbaden.
